Schefter: Raiders May Prioritize Cobb and Thomas over Ndamukong Suh

Adam Schefter expects the Raiders to focus on adding offensive weapons in free agency – even if it means losing Ndamukong Suh. In an interview with Mad Dog Radio on Sirius XM, Schefter said he believes the Raiders will prioritize Julius Thomas and Randall Cobb – not Ndamukong Suh.

Suh will likely command over $100 million and potentially $70 million guaranteed – not the kind of contract anyone would associate with Raiders’ GM Reggie McKenzie. Reggie’s familiarity with Cobb can’t be overlooked, and the fourth-year GM has been looking for an elite tight end since he was hired.

The Raiders aren’t willing to enter the draft without signing at least one legitimate playmaker (preferably two) for Derek Carr. Cobb and Thomas fit the mold and could immediately jump start an Oakland offense that’s been in hibernation since Hue Jackson was fired.
