It’s been a wild nine months for the Raiders since Jon Gruden was handed the reins to the team’s personnel department. The adventure started with the release of Michael Crabtree and Marquette King, but those were just drops in the bucket compared to the splash Gruden made when he traded away Khalil Mack.
Now, according to a TMZ interview with Colin Kaepernick’s attorney, Mark Geragos, Kaepernick may soon be returning to the NFL and it could be with the Raiders. Geragos wouldn’t name the two teams interesting in signing Kaepernick, but smiled and said, “I’ll say this … if Al Davis was still alive.”

Remember, back in January it was rumored that Gruden might be interested in signing Kaepernick to back up Derek Carr. The Raiders traded a fifth-round pick for A.J. McCarron, but there is no viable quarterback option on the roster beyond McCarron.
After the backlash Gruden received (and continues to receive) for trading Mack, what better way to change the conversation than to sign Kaepernick? In fact, signing Kaepernick should improve the roster a bit anyway.
At this point, what do the Raiders have to lose?

If they sign Kap, I just might have to rejoin the fold!
You won’t be welcomed back. Stay gone
Hey, Cleveland Browns……. You’re welcome for the Raiders taking over as the dumbest, most ridiculous, laughingstock team in the league……maybe in pro sports….
Lol…You sound like a HATER!!!!
Nope, just love my city, Oakland, that’s getting screwed over by the Raidahs!
Got that right! Chuckie leaving a scorched earth in his wake!
JUST DO IT 😉
IF the Raiders sign Kaepernick, I’m officially done as a Raiders fan. First Vegas, then Mack, now they’re signing that……….??????

Could the Al Davis quote be in reference to Kaps legal action against the NFL.. We all know Al had multiple legal battles with the league.
Damned if do, damned if you don’t, so do it your way!!!
That’s all the Raiders need – a third string QB that cares more about getting his name in the news for non-football reasons than he does about helping his team win. CK hasn’t taken a snap for two years so I just can’t see how he improves the roster, regardless of the inevitable distraction he would cause.
