The Raiders desperately need to improve in their secondary next year.
Veteran safety Reggie Nelson isn’t expected to be back and Obi Melifonwu spent much of his rookie season on the injury report.
It’s hard to know what the Raiders have in Melifonwu, whose work ethic has been questioned, and unfortunately Charles Woodson isn’t walking through the door anytime soon…
Unless he is.
Woodson confirmed on his verified twitter account on Friday that if the Raiders called, he’d be open to the idea of joining Jon Gruden’s coaching staff.
Would give it some thought

What would be even better is the idea of Woodson coming back and wearing no. 24 again, but at 41 years of age, maybe that’s a bit much to ask.
