Deion Sanders has talked about getting involved in where his sons will play in the NFL, but he has downplayed some of those comments in recent months.
It’s no secret that Sanders would like Shedeur to play in Las Vegas, but with the no. 6 pick in the draft, the Raiders might need some help if they want to get to Shedeur on draft day.
Luckily for Vegas, there might be a guy who can help.
Based on Deion’s comments this week, the person to help the Raiders get to Shedeur (assuming they want him) might be Deion, himself. In no uncertain terms, Deion clearly stated that he isn’t going to allow Shedeur to play for more than one NFL team.
”It’s not who I would like for him to play for. It’s a couple teams that I won’t allow him to play for,” Sanders said on the Tamron Hall Show.
There’s a lot of time between now and the draft, but the stage is set for the Sanders family to be the talk of the 2025 draft.
As of now, there are three teams drafting ahead of the Raiders that will potentially want Sheduer in round one. The Titans, Browns and Giants own the first three picks in the draft, but at least one of those teams is likely to be on the Sanders family blacklist.
It’s been rumored that Deion doesn’t want Shedeur to play for the Browns, but he has never publicly said which organizations he would not approve for his son (or sons).
Could Deion potentially cause enough trouble to push Shedeur down to pick 6?
It’s anyone’s guess whether or not the Raiders would take Shedeur with the sixth pick, but if Tom Brady and company want him, the stars could be lining up for an “Eli Manning” draft scenario to play out again.
Via Tankathon, here’s a look at the draft order as it stands today…
