Just hours ahead of the 2025 trade deadline, the Raiders traded Jakobi Meyers to Jacksonville Jaguars for fourth and sixth round picks. It was a deal that was celebrated more on the Jacksonville side, but a pair of day 3 draft picks (picks 117 and 182) gave the Raiders a little more draft ammunition to rebuild a roster that was among the worst in the league a year ago.
Now with the draft in the rear view, we know what the Raiders got for Meyers
Pick 117 was part of a trade package with the Houston Texans that sent picks 36 and 117 to the Texans for picks 38 and 91. The Raiders used pick 38 to draft Arizona safety Treydan Stukes and pick 91 was used on Texas A&M guard Trey Zuhn.
Pick 182 was traded to the Buffalo Bills in March for cornerback Taron Johnson.
Essentially, the Raiders got Zuhn and Johnson for Meyers and cleared a good amount of salary cap space to be used on other players (which they already did). It’s still too early to decide who “won” the Jakobi Meyers trade, but it’s worth keeping in mind that on paper the Raiders still don’t have a very good wide receiver group.
The wide receiver position was one of the Raiders’ biggest needs entering the 2026 draft and the only wide receiver they drafted was Oregon’s Malik Benson, who was taken in the sixth round (191 overall).
The wide receiver room in Vegas now consists of Benson, Jack Bech, Dont’e Thornton Jr., Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor, Phillip Dorsett, Shedrick Jackson, Brenden Rice, Justin Shorter and Dareke Young. That’s not an exciting group and it might not even be an average group.
For now, Tucker looks like the WR1 in Las Vegas, and it would be borderline irresponsible to not add a veteran wide receiver between now and the start of the season.

Huge Mistake… Jacobi was the Best we had AND a Great Teammate and Presence in the Locker Room. However as often happens with the Raiders, he was treated like ****!! He Immediately helped the Jags to the Playoffs and We still don’t have a Reliable Receiver.
I’m glad we let em go the guy wanted to be paid like a true number one but never will be.
He wanted to be traded. What were the raiders supposed to do? Hold him hostage? They did him right and got picks in return.
He wanted traded but only after they wouldn’t pay him. He wanted 20 per year which is in line as # 2. Instead Spytek brought in Nailor for around 11 per year but it’s hard to say if that’s for #2 or #3.
I still think they could’ve got a 3 for him. Or A 4 and a player back. The fact that they traded Buff anything for T.Johnson without getting Buff to pay some is still larceny. This current administration knows how to value players and picks about as well as Gruden GM days. Pathetic to say the least.
