NFL insiders haven’t been given the green light to say a lot about the Raiders’ meeting with Klint Kubiak on Saturday, but the internet is working hard to dig up the facts.
Not everything on social media is legitimate (surprise!), but a series on comments and grainy photo from a user on X detailed a situation in Seattle this afternoon that should come as good news to Raider fans.
X user “Ryder Wiess” might not be credentialed media, but it looks like he was in the right placed at the right time tonight to share a welcomed update on Kubiak and the Raiders.
If true that “Welcome to Vegas” was written on the conference room board, there isn’t a lot more that needs to be said.

You don’t think owners of football teams meet with the person who is going to be head coach of their team? It doesn’t mean Mark is making the decision on who the head coach is, he’s just meeting with him.
My opinion, this is not a good sign. Mark Davis said it was Brady & Spytek to lead the search. He should be nowhere near things until his signature is needed.

It’s a great sign. It means Kubiak wants to meet Mark & Mark badly wants him.
They probably needed to meet, but I agree. Mark Davis has the reverse Midas Touch.
Also, remember… Kubiak had enormous leverage here. He may have demanded less involvement from Brady as part of his deal. Which would probably be a good thing!
People are crazy, If I’m taking the job or considering taking the job, I want to meet with the owner. What’s his personality? How does he speak about the team? How involved in the hiring process is he? How does he interact with the people he hired to run the front office? Mark is expected to be in these meetings hopefully he conducts himself in a manner in which our new perspective coach respects.

Isn’t it amazing that an internet rando (I mean that in the best way) broke this, and not one of the so-called “insiders” who love to talk about their connections in the building?
In my opinion, if we’re at the point where Davis is having dinner with Kubiak, it means we’re well on our way to the conclusion. It seems obvious and predictable to me that Davis wants to meet him before writing yet another six-figure check… even though she’s still an idiot.
