It’s no secret that Mark Davis will be (and has been) heavily involved in the Raiders search for a head coach – a task he left entirely on the shoulders of his general manager three years ago.
What’s becoming less of a secret is the candidate Davis seems to favor. On Sunday, before Jack Del Rio’s interview with Davis, CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora indicated the Raiders owner is “very high” on the Denver defensive coordinator.
And it’s worth noting that yesterday the San Francisco Chronicle’s Vic Tafur pointed to Del Rio as the current “favorite” to win the job.
As for Todd Bowles whom the Raiders have been granted permission to speak with, he doesn’t seem to have an interview lined up yet with Oakland – maybe not a huge deal since we’ve learned about several Raiders interviews after the fact.
