Maxx Crosby Says He Wants Aaron Rodgers on the Raiders in 2025

The Raiders missed on Matthew Stafford and there’s a lot of buzz around Sam Darnold potentially being the next name on their list, but is it possible Aaron Rodgers could end up being the next quarterback in Las Vegas?

No one has been connecting Rodgers to the Raiders to this point, but on his podcast this week, Maxx Crosby definitely send an endorsement out to the 41-year-old quarterback.

“I think with the doubt and all the negativity around Aaron Rodgers… I think he’s going to come back and have a big year this year and I hope it’s in our town,” Crosby said on The Rush podcast.

He may have just been having fun or giving the world a soundbite to talk about, but Crosby didn’t mince words on where he wants to see Rodgers play next year.

At no point in the last few weeks has Rodgers been connected to the Raiders, but most would consider him to be a better option than Russell Wilson, Justin Fields and Sam Darnold.

What you get with Rodgers, though, is the drama. Whether it is media manufactured or not, Rodgers has brought unnecessary attention to himself and his teams in recent years.

But there is at least one beat writer covering the Raiders who has made the case for Rodgers in Las Vegas.

On his weekday Raider Nation Radio show two weeks ago, the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Vinny Bonsignore told his co-hosts on the Morning Tailgate that he doesn’t buy into some of the negative narratives around Rodgers over the last few years.

“It would be interesting, because I think that in a lot of ways, he does fit what the Raiders need,” Bonsignore said of Rodgers potentially joining the Raiders. “The timing of it is really critical. It can’t be anything more than two years, right? And you would definitely need to have your replacement in mind or at least in place.”

“The notion that he’s going to come in here and be the diva that breaks the culture, I don’t buy into it because there’s no real evidence of that happening. Whatever happened with the Jets, I think that was even above and as much as money as he was making, kind of above and beyond his pay scale,” Bonsignore continued.

“To me, you create a foundation by winning and if he can help, and I believe that he could, help this team win football games for however long he’s here, that’s establishing a foundation. That’s, I think, what Pete Carroll wants to do. There’s going to be all the messaging, compete, there’s going to be the buy-in, there’s going to be how you need to conduct yourself, all of those things. But to set the firmest of foundations, you got to start having success on the field. I think of all the quarterbacks that are out there, he probably gives them the best chance to do that right off the bat.”

With that in mind…

Is it fair to wonder if Davante Adams might consider a reunion with the Raiders if Rodgers was the quarterback?

Most of the characters that rubbed Adams the wrong way in Las Vegas aren’t with the team anymore and the veteran wide receiver still has a home in Vegas.

Just something to think about.

  1. Has Max Crosby lost his mind? Arron Rodger’s is done, stick a fork in him. He no longer has any game left. I would not sign him to a contract for a $1,000. His finished. Retire already.

  2. Stay in your lane Maxx. You might be playing elsewhere. Propping his anti-vax buddy is bad for business

      1. Brain dead. You wouldn’t know real science if it came as a hamburger wrapped in a hamburger wrapper ro

  3. do not want that head case and all his demands bringing in all these ex Packers didn’t do anything for Jets

  4. Noooooooooooo way baby. He’s older than dirt. Go and retire to your lightless black hole fire up your insense and bring your moody blues tunes and enjoy your retirement. Freak! This game is for 20+ year olds not double that. Go away

  5. I’d prefer Rodgers as a bridge QB, instead of trading away picks for an old Matt Stafford. Rodgers would automatically be an upgrade from last year’s QBs. His numbers were decent, last year.
