Raiders’ 3rd-Round Pick Has Support in the Building, RNR Host Says

The Raiders drafted two offensive linemen in the third round of last year’s draft, and despite the offensive line struggling in 2025, Caleb Rogers (pick 98) and Charles Grant (pick 99) didn’t get on the field a lot in their first NFL season together.

According to Pro Football Focus, Rogers played 284 snaps in 2025, while Grant only played 59.

In limited opportunities, Rogers showed encouraging signs in his first season and finished the year with a PFF grade of 59.4.

Grant was on the field for less than a quarter of the snaps Rogers played in 2025, but Grant earned the highest PFF grade (70.1) of any offensive lineman on the Raiders’ roster last year year.

Raider Nation Radio host Q Myers talked about Grant this week on his daily podcast, and he believes Grant is a player to keep an eye on moving forward because he made a strong impression last year.

“I’ve heard from multiple people, that a lot of people inside the building, even though we only got to see him for a handful of snaps, like a quarter and a half at the most for the season, the people that see him in the building every day, the people see him in practice every day, the people see him in the weight room and the film room and just around the facility every day, they’re really high on him,” Myers said about Grant this week on the Locked on Raiders Squad Show podcast.

“I don’t know, [being] fully transparent, what he’s going to bring to the table, what role he plays, but apparently there’s a lot of excitement and juice behind him. Obviously, we haven’t seen him on the field, so we couldn’t just give a real assessment. But that’s a name to watch out for and pay attention to for sure.”

As for the Maxx Crosby situation, Myers said the majority of the league isn’t buying the notion that the Raiders hid information on Crosby’s knee.

“What I have heard from talking just to a few NFL insiders is that the majority of the league believes it was a Baltimore thing,” Myers said, “So that’s good. I think that’s a positive because I’d hate for John Spytek [to get] a bad name, like, ‘Oh, Spytek tried to pull one over on Baltimore.’”

“So it’s one of those situations. It is what it is at this stage of the game. Maxx is back. I think he realizes what it means to be at an organization that really values him as well. That’s the other thing, right? The Raiders, they roll out the red carpet for Maxx Crosby. Baltimore is like, ‘That’s just another dude.’”

Crosby said his doctor isn’t concerned by what the Ravens’ doctors said…

Earlier in the week, Crosby said he panicked when the Ravens initially told him they weren’t comfortable with his knee, but after calling the world-renowned doctor who performed the surgery on his knee, Crosby said his perspective changed.

“I talked to [Dr. Neal ElAttrache]. Neal calls me and he calmed me way down. He’s like, ‘Maxx, don’t listen to any of that sh–… your knee is great. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Or even ahead of schedule. You’re doing everything right. They know you had your surgery nine weeks ago,” Crosby said on his March 17 episode of The Rush.

‘He’s showing me literally like the actual literature of this is where your knee is supposed to be at from a meniscus repair. There can be MRIs. It could be misleading because it’s still fresh and surgery and this and that. He’s like, ‘Listen, you’re doing everything right. Everything’s going well. We’re going to keep sticking to the plan. You will be back by training camp. That has been the **** timeline since the beginning that hasn’t changed.’”

  1. I guess we’ll know what Kubiak and Dennison think of these guys come draft weekend. We’ll draft more linemen, you should every year, both sides of the ball, but is it a weekday or weekend pick? I thought Rogers showed some good stuff, consistency is needed, but it was like flood control last year, hard to judge a player in that mess. I think we poached Grant from a couple of other draft boards at the right moment, so that makes me feel good about his upside, even though his playing time wasn’t there. My zen is letting last year go, but what a debacle the offensive coaching decisions were. Serenity in the building this year, all good things, please.

  2. 1. FERNANDO MENDOZA
    36. MAX IHEANACHOR
    67. DANI DENNIS-SUTTON
    102. ANTONIO WILLIAMS
    117. NICHOLAS SINGLETON
    134. ZANE DURANT
    175. TACARIO DAVIS
    185. RED MURDOCK
    208. BISHOP FITZGERALD
    219. ERIC GENTRY

    1. That would be a real good draft. I’m a little concerned though with Max at 36. Not that upgrade isn’t needed as Glaze would work better in a power scheme.

      1. It would be a lights out draft for the Raiders. Dennis-Sutton is the best Edge in the draft. A complete package. He produced even when he played opposite of Abdul Carter. He’s awesome against the run, that’s what separates him from the other Edge guys in this draft.

Iheanachor has Raider attitude. Nasty af. Exactly the Raider Way.

Regarding Gentry, he is a unicorn. A 6 foot 7 LB has never been seen before. Who is going to cover all these crazy athletic TE’s coming out recently? Dude’s that are 6’5″ running sub 4.5 40’s? Eric Gentry.

Dude has the wingspan of a basketball player. So disruptive. He would be a weapon for us.

Zane Durant wrecked the Senior Bowl practices, he was unstoppable. Another nasty dude.

Want a ball hawk at the LB spot? Red Murdock is your boy.

Nick Singleton. Another animal. A 225 lb. wrecking ball with speed. Try stopping Thunder and Lightning with Jeanty and Singleton coming at you.
