The Raiders had arguably the worst offensive line in the NFL last year, and through the first three games of the 2026 season, the improvement has already been noticeable.
From the standpoint of run blocking, the Raiders haven’t been outstanding, but according to Pro Football Focus analytics, they have the 10th-best pass blocking group in the league to start the season.
In particular, right tackle D.J. Glaze has been far better than advertised in pass protection and PFF credits him with just one quarterback pressure on 109 quarterback drop backs. Only one offensive lineman in the league with 100+ snaps on the season (Amarius Mims) has given up fewer quarterback pressures than Glaze.
Raider Nation Radio host ‘JT the Brick’ said this week that Glaze has been “more than serviceable” as a right tackle but added that he has concerns about veteran left guard Spencer Burford.
“JPJ, I like a lot. He got blown up on a play that Ashton Jeanty got thrown back and it was probably the worst hit I’ve seen Ashton Jeanty take as a Raider. Burford, I don’t think is playing elite. I think his job is in jeopardy for another opportunity for a guard situation,” JT said on his Raider Nation Radio show on Monday.
Unfortunately for Burford, PFF credits him with giving up 12 quarterback pressures on the season, and that’s more than Tyler Linderbaum (2), Kolton Miller (5) and Glaze (1) have given up combined.
For his part, Jackson Powers-Johnson has given up seven quarterback pressures in three games, according to PFF, and has the worst run blocking grade on the team (PFF grade 41.6).
The player to watch if Burford or Powers-Johnson don’t hold up will be Caleb Rogerss.
Rogers is an above average run blocker and played well in the short time he entered the game against the Saints (5 plays) on Sunday.
For the most part, it sounded like the Raiders were lining up Rogers at right guard in training camp, but he would presumably be the no. 2 option at both guard positions if the coaching staff feels the need to make a change.

Our general manager should be working his *** off, looking to cherry pick offensive lineman off of other teams, practice squads.
Our offensive line needs to be seen as a critical need to upgrade at every position other than center. We have zero depth and I’m quite shocked that we’re even getting the production out of who we have out there now that we are. That luck is going to run out. The bills, Chiefs, Patriots, and every other good defensive line is going to victimize us. Just like the Saints did in our run game with the exception of one run.
