The Raiders are off to their best start to a season since 2021, and with the Saints up next on the schedule, there’s a chance the Raiders (2-0) and Chiefs (2-0) will both be undefeated when they meet at Allegiant Stadium in week 4.
Until then, head coach Klint Kubiak will do what he can to keep the team focused on the Saints because there are still areas that need to be cleaned up.
One of those areas was brought up by ‘JT the Brick’ this week on his flagship radio show.
“What I didn’t like about the game was only one thing. Only one thing I didn’t like about the game,” JT said on his Raider Nation Radio show.
“I don’t think they ran the ball well. I don’t think they got the push. Chargers are a good team. A very good team. I thought at times the Raider offensive line was getting pushed back in the running game. That was a huge problem last year. A massive problem last year, and I thought that they were kind of getting pushed around a little bit in the game. And I haven’t seen the All-22. I’m going to watch that later today. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe I’m right on that.”

Kubiak is known for his expertise in the running game, but the Raiders are averaging just 2.8 yards per carry in his first two game in Silver & Black.
Ashton Jeanty didn’t look like he was playing at 100 percent in week 2 (his ankle still sore potentially?), but there were several runs against the Chargers where Jeanty had little or no room to run. His 3.4 YPC this year is actually below his 3.7 average of a year ago.
Pro Football Focus isn’t the final authority on player performances but through the first two weeks of the season, the Raiders are the sixth-worst run blocking team in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus analytics.
Run blocking is without question an area the Raiders need to improve.
In terms of pass blocking, however, Pro Football Focus ranks the Raiders as having the third-best pass blocking line in the league.
A year ago, the Raiders were sacked more times than any team in the NFL (64), but Kirk Cousins has only been sacked twice in two games this year.
Cousins’ ability to play from a clean pocket has led to a 100.5 quarterback rating (his career best is 107.4 with Kubiak in 2019) and a tie for the NFL lead in passing touchdowns with six.

Ashton Jeanty drops too many passes!
Jeanty is too small. Can’t carry the load and why doesn’t this cat ever run hard to the hole? Mike Washington Jr. looks like he gets shot out of a cannon when he gets the ball by comparison
I think we’re better off starting Washington over Jeanty.
It’s why I wanted Membou. Jeanty is a good player but he’s not an impact player.
It’s why you build the OL first unless there’s a Bjay Robinson there.
And id run Washington more, but my guess is Kubiak is gonna run Jeanty into the ground cuz he won’t resign him
We need to play Washington more. If only to find out what we really got in him. If he turns out to be a workhorse type back, Spytek can sucker a retard team into giving us a 1st round pick for Jeanty
I’d be interested to see if Spytek can pull a 1st or 2nd round pick out of the Giants for AOC. If he doesn’t that, he’s amazing. We should take advantage of any team that has a crisis at QB.
