Amid speculation the Raiders may be close to removing Tony Sparano’s interim tag, there’s reason to believe Mark Davis and company would like a chance to talk to Jack Del Rio again.
In a CSN report yesterday, Scott Bair indicated Del Rio remains a favorite after making a “positive impression” on Davis in his interview last Sunday.
CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora was more emphatic, saying Del Rio “wowed” Davis with a “very impressive” interview.
Denver hosts Indianapolis on Sunday which means the Raiders are guaranteed another opportunity to talk to either Colts’ offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton or Del Rio. Davis did not attend Hamilton’s interview with Reggie McKenzie in Indianapolis as he was in Denver interviewing Del Rio. McKenzie has not yet met with Del Rio.
