Report: Raiders Have “No Restrictions” On Derek Carr This Week

After leaving last week’s game with a hand injury, Derek Carr told local media on Wednesday “it’s all fine” heading into week two. He added at that time that his hand “[wasn’t] 100 percent, but pretty close.” After successfully managing the swelling all week, the team doesn’t anticipate Carr’s hand being an issue going forward.

CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora said that Carr will have no restrictions on Sunday, but at least one former NFL team physician wonders if Carr’s accuracy could be affected.

Even at 100 percent, Carr will have his hands full against Baltimore. Last week, the Ravens’ defense held Peyton Manning to 175 passing yards, 0 touchdowns, and intercepted him once. Expect Jack Del Rio to emphasize the run early against Baltimore after beginning the Cincinnati game with throws on seven of the first nine plays.
