Report: Trent Brown Could Return to the Raiders as Soon as Next Week

On a day when the Raiders learned that a third of their defense may have been exposed to coronavirus and a report indicated that Richie Incognito probably won’t be healthy anytime soon, it was nice to get a positive report on Wednesday.

And a positive report on Trent Brown, no less.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, there is “optimism” around Brown’s health and he may be able to return as early as next week.

No Title

There is optimism that Raiders OT Trent Brown could be cleared as early as next week to resume working out, per source. Brown wants to return and play, and this would be the first step to doing it after he was placed on Reserve/COVID-19 list for second time this season on Nov.

Good news, right?

Now for the skeptics…

It’s no secret that there could be litigation coming (involving the botched IV from a team employee) between the Raiders and Brown in the months ahead. And it’s at least a little suspicious that Brown’s camp would pass along to Schefter the idea that Brown wants to play.

Hopefully, Schefter’s tweet was as innocent as it looked on paper (or digital display in this case), but it could just as easily be an eventual reference point in litigation between Brown and the Raiders. Depending on how the next few months play out, Brown could need to make the argument that he was doing his best to return to the field this year (figure out for yourself the possible reasons why).

In that case, what better reference point than a tweet from the sport’s most recognizable insider?

Just something to think about. That’s all.

  1. I would have to thank from a legal standpoint that technically behavior that is going to cost a draft pick and hundreds of thousands of dollars is detrimental to the team and he could be cut and his contract avoided. And personally that’s what I would do the guy’s been a big fat goose egg 420 $1000000. Give Tom Cable half that money and then sign another right tackle with the rest. Sam young hasn’t been that bad when he’s healthy Crandon Park and played pretty well to finally took him about three years but he finally showed up. I’m sorry but f*** Trent Brown

    1. Tell it like it is brother it’s the truth ke needs to get off his fat *** and play ball like the way they paid you to do prove us wrong trent going down the stretch playoff football soon so get right fool

    2. Why don’t you first review your statement and spelling, to help others understand what you are really trying to say!!!🤔🤔🤪

    3. Totally agree with you and f–k any team player who is not taking this Coronavirus serious. The team have a big game Sunday and dumb asses continue to catch that crap. Please

  2. Yeah part of me my hand is broken so I can’t type and the microphone is very inaccurate but I think you guys get the point. We don’t need transfer on for six and three team and going to the playoffs without him that money can be spent much more effectively elsewhere.

  4. Trent Brown was a huge mistake for the Raiders. Just another fat out of shape millionaire on the payroll. I guarantee that he gets reinjured within 2 week’s. Keep buying that bling and fried chicken Trent!!!
