The Raiders are expected to make a big move at quarterback in the offseason and it appears all options are on the table for Tom Brady and company in terms of who that quarterback might be and how the team is going to acquire him.
The top quarterback in this year’s free agent group is going to be Minnesota’s Sam Darnold, and according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Darnold is a player the Raiders are expected to have interest in signing.
”One team that I would watch with Sam Darnold moving forward would be the Las Vegas Raiders,” Schefter reported on Sunday. “I think at some point and time they’re going to have some interest in trying to bring Sam Darnold to Las Vegas. We’ll see if they can make that happen.”
Fellow ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler said the Vikings are still considering bringing back Darnold, but cost will factor into their decision.
“The Vikings have not yet made a firm determination on Sam Darnold‘s future with the team,” Fowler reported this week. “His strong play this season has caused them to pause and take a hard look at their options. Bringing him back feels like a stronger possibility than it was five or six months ago, but the Vikings will have a cap on spending here.”
Elsewhere around the league, FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer reported on Sunday the Jets are moving on from Aaron Rodgers in 2025 and when that happens there will be another quarterback on the market and another team in the market for a quarterback.
If Rodgers decides to play another year, it will be interesting to see if the decision-makers in Las Vegas have any interest in him.
Additionally, there’s a chance Derek Carr will be in the mix for a new team in the months ahead.
With new leadership in the building, would it be out of the question to bring Carr back and pair him with a young quarterback?

Whoever wrote this was smart enough to not own it. The objective is NOT fantasy stats. It’s about standing tall in big games. Carrbage is burning methane.
The Raider OL needs vast improvement, that said, they need a mobile QB. None of the options mentioned fit that bill.
