Tom Brady Expected to have the “Dominant Voice” within the Raiders Organization

It’s no secret that Tom Brady is going to have a strong voice within the organization as a minority owner of the Raiders, but could he have the strongest voice?

According to Sports Illustrated insider Hondo Carpenter, that’s actually the expectation.

“[Tom Brady] is going to have a loud [voice], and as much as Mark Davis lets him, he could be the most dominant voice,” Carpenter said on the Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast.

“I suspect that Mark Davis is going to let Tom Brady have the most dominant voice. Now, let’s make this very clear. If Tom Brady has the dominant voice, which I believe he will, and I’ve been reporting for over a year that, then I absolutely need you to know, it’s because Mark Davis let him. He’s not coming in and running roughshod over Mark.”

If Brady if the strongest voice within the organization, it will be interesting to see how that affects the personnel department and coaching staff.

Carpenter believes former Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is in a strong position to be the next Raiders head coach if Antonio Pierce is not retained.

“If they move on from Antonio [Pierce], I believe Mike Vrabel will be the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders,” Carpenter said. “I am in no way advocating for moving on from Antonio, at all, and I want to make that clear. But I believe that if they move on from him, it will be Mike Vrabel. He has a great relationship with [Tom] Brady. They are very close.”

“[Vrabel] knows what Tom wants,” Carpenter continued. “He knows what he wants the defense to do, but he already has Patrick Graham. Then the key is going to be when Mike Vrabel has had [the] most success as a coach, it’s when he has an absolute stud offensive coordinator.”

Answers are coming soon, but the pressure is definitely on Pierce to take the team in a positive direction over the last six games of the season.

  1. The writer’s, journalist, sport’s caster’s are going to say their point of view. The real problem with the raiders organization is mark davis. He has no clue how to run a team. He needs to sell the remaining shares, and sail off to the sunset.

  2. What is the pont of having GM Telesco if Mark Davis is gonna listen to Tom Brady? This is why this franchise is hopeless. The problem starts at the head. Mark Davis is a major problem with this franchise. It’s pathetic at this point

    1. 100% agree. I believe he wants to win, but his ego is so fragile that he surrounds himself with friends and yes men and then floats from one catastrophe to another. There is no sound, consistent decision making process. It’s seat of his pants.

I don’t know why we should be surprised. As far as I know he’s accomplished nothing worthwhile in his life aside from being Al’s son.

  3. It’s about time someone in the organization can see the Antonio Pierce is not the answer. He had his chance, and the team has regressed. Show him the door.

  4. Why does the “dominant voice” in the Raiders organization need to be Mark Davis’ friend? There’s nobody else, who has actual experience running a franchise, or doesn’t believe there are magic anti- concussion pills his friend sells, that might be available?
