Pete Carroll has been coaching football longer than some of his peers in the industry have been alive, but the Raiders’ 73-year-old head coach still brings energy and enthusiasm to the job like a 30-year-old position coach.
Former Seahawks running back Robert Turbin talked about Carroll this week and said in four years he never saw his former head coach have a bad day.
“I can truly say, four years under Pete Carroll, I’ve literally never seen him have a bad day,” said on Raider Nation Radio’s Unnecessary Roughness.. “Maybe one time I saw maybe under the weather, you know, where his voice was maybe a little lost.”
At practice on Wednesday, Carroll was neither lost or under the weather and cameras caught some of his personality that current and former players have been raving about.
During a stretching session, Carroll walked over to offensive tackle Thayer Munford and quite literally jumped on him like a wrestler.
The video was taken by KNTV Channel 13 Las Vegas.
Spunky or not, Carroll wasn’t getting a 3-count on Munford…
