Antonio Pierce Has Approval of Deion, Shedeur Sanders

Shedeur Sanders is expected by many to be the first quarterback taken in the draft, but are the Raiders be a realistic option to be his NFL landing spot?

Not only will the Raiders need a top draft pick to get Sanders, it will also be important that his family wants to see him in Las Vegas.

“I know where I kind of want them to go,” Deion Sanders said in March about Shedeur and teammate Travis Hunter. “And let’s not forget Shilo [Sanders]. But I know where I want them to go. There’s certain cities where it ain’t going to happen… It’s going to be an Eli [Manning].”

“[The Raiders] have a wonderful head coach and a wonderful president,” Sanders said later. “That would be nice. I’ve been looking around the stadium. It’s a nice stadium. It’s nice around here.”

Since those comments from the elder Sanders, the Raiders have won only two games, but according to a Pro Football Post report on Sunday, Vegas remains a preferred destination for Sanders and Pierce is still a head coach he likes for his son…

“There is a sense among league sources that Deion Sanders believes Pierce, despite the Raiders’ 2-8 record, would be a good fit for his son, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.”

It doesn’t mean a lot in November, but it could become relevant in a couple months that Pierce has the approval of Sanders.

On Sunday, the Broncos finished a sweep of the Raiders with a 29-19 win at Allegiant Staduum.

The Raiders currently hold the third-overall pick in the draft and there’s a chance the two teams ahead of them (Jacksonville and the New York Giants) are at the top of Deion’s blacklist.

  1. What a shi+show, the Sanders sideshow coming to Vegas, makes sense lol, Vegas is all about sideshow, so disappointing after being a faithful fan for over 40yrs I’m good! Seen enough

  2. Please DON’T make the mistake of bringing the Sanders circus to town. Let’s go with Ward at QB. Say NO to drama queens, we’ve had enough of that with Crosby and Adams.
