Are Deion and Shedeur Sanders scheming a way to take their talents to the NFL as part of a father/son package deal?
It’s been rumored that the elder Sanders is entertaining the idea of coaching Shedeur in the NFL, and there are potential scenarios where it could happen.
ESPN’s Mike Greenberg believes the Raiders are a realistic landing spot for the Sanders family and talked about the possibility this week.
”Tom Brady, Mark Davis, a lot of star power. A high draft pick. I mean it’s all sitting right there,” Greenberg said on ESPN’s Get Up. “If you just pick up bread crumbs, and Schefty is going to get mad at me because he doesn’t pick up bread crumbs… [but] I’m saying Deion and Shedeur to Vegas. It feels like it makes sense.”
Greenberg’s comments were interesting, but it was Adam Schefter’s response that deserves more attention.
As soon as Greenberg threw out the idea of Sanders coaching his son in Las Vegas, Schefter immediately disagreed. His response was subtle, but demonstrative, and it definitely seems like Schefter knows something he isn’t able to say.
Schefter clearly doesn’t believe Sanders will be coaching the Raiders, but he has been pushing the father/son NFL combo for a week.
Is there another team Schefter believes is more likely to go all in on the Sanders family?
Schefter finished the segment by comparing Deion Sanders to Jim Harbaugh and essentially made the case for someone to jump on Sanders as an NFL head coach.
Wherever he’s going with those statements, it sounds like Schefter has a feel for what the Raiders want to do next year at head coach… or at least what they don’t want to do.
If it’s not going to be Sanders, who does Schefter think it’s going to be?
Mike Vrabel has been connected to the Raiders, but there’s a lot of time between now and when the determination can actually be made.
And beyond the coaching quagmire in Vegas, is there a chance the Raiders could miss on Shedeur because someone else is willing to hire his dad?
Their are other probably better QBs then him,none is guaranteed to be great,let’s get that straight.
I see raiders doing a bridge situation and signing Sam darnold..They will draft a QB maybe not in the first rd..I see them drafting a WR, like from AZ..They have loads of cap space..They will build with a quick turnaround and Mike vrable will be the HC…
This Package would set the Raiders Back another 5 -10 Years…
With today’s loss, this season is a disgusting, disturbing, dereliction of any semblance of being a professional football organization. Way to go, Davis.
