Antonio Pierce Turned Down Josh McDaniels’ Office, Still Working from his Assistant’s Office

Antonio Pierce is a man of the people.

He might be one of the most popular and powerful people in the Raiders building right now, but he’s still making all the big decisions from his little position coach office the team gave him as their linebackers coach.

Pierce told Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin that the Raiders offered him Josh McDaniels’ old room, but he turned it down.

“I went in and sat with Antonio Pierce in his office. He’s still in his same coaching office, the assistant office,” Irvin said on FS1’s Undisputed.

“I said ‘Hey big fella, why we’re not in the big room right now?’ He said ‘I told them I’m not moving twice. If you move me over there, I’m staying over there. I’m not moving and moving back.’”

Irvin added that the players love playing for Pierce and he thinks Mark Davis should remove the interim label from his title as soon as possible.

The vast majority of Raider fans agree…

  1. A.p. Raiderssssssss Nation is behind you. Take care of the Raidersssssss. Coach of the year. Bring the energy. And happy players are dangerous players!!!!☠️💯💯☠️👊😤☠️☠️

  2. That’s because he’s a real man, when he becomes our HC I’m sure he’ll take that office,…#high five Coach

  3. I agree AP has done a great job as a coach I do not blame him for the loss against the Dolphins as much as I do I guy Bo Hardgree not sure if he should be OC if AP is retained personally I would pursue someone like Zak Hill who coached under Herm Edwards with AP and he is currently coaching HS ball could make a transition to the bigs also to replace AP as linebackers coach Tony HIll DC for Nebraska but Rhule said he should take an opportunity at the bigs if it presents itself could see that thoughts #raidernation

  4. Yes Antonio is a winner, nfl great superbowl champ. Has respect from his players. He been there done that. But what makes him great he is humble. Makes players better including them in how to use their skills to be a success. He is a raider at heart

  5. Before Antonio Pierce became the interim coach I had already lost faith and believe after being a die-hard raider fan since 1976 I could honestly say now Antonio Pierce has given all of us Faith and Hope again I’ve noticed the legendary raiders coming back around again although we lost to Miami I can honestly say it’s because we blew it when we had opportunities not because we were just blowing out I think the name interim coach should be removed and he should be the official coach

  6. As someone who shares his first name, just the mention of Josh McDaniels makes my skin crawl. Switching it to Antonio after the holidays. #Saymyname
