Asked About the Raiders and Tom Brady, Josh Jacobs Offered an Interesting Response

If Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden have created offseason chaos by not giving Derek Carr any kind of public endorsement, Josh Jacobs just offered a “hold my beer” to both of them.

On Friday night Jacobs went on Instagram Live with UFC president Dana White and was asked about the Raiders potentially signing Tom Brady. Jacobs seemed on board with the idea and said the Raiders were trying to make a “big splash” in their first year in Las Vegas.

He also didn’t mention anything about Carr (at least not in the segment below), who is still under contract with the Raiders for three more years.

Jacobs is free to speak his mind, but his comments don’t make the next couple weeks any easier for the Raiders to navigate.

Or as Vic Tafur tweeted on Saturday morning, the UFC president is out here causing problems.

Fortunately, answers are coming soon.

Free agency begins March 18 and the Raiders are considered a long shot to sign Brady. And if that means Carr will be the starting quarterback in 2020, everyone involved (except Dana White, who couldn’t care less) will probably like to move forward as if the aforementioned Instagram exchange never happened.

  1. Ok So let T. B. Have him. They have the same initials, so it won’t be too confusing for either of them. Tom is at the least, better accesorized, with the sword, and eye patch.
