It Sounds Like the Raiders Are Close to Getting Trent Brown Back From Injury

It’s been a strange couple of months around Trent Brown’s mysterious leg injury (or injuries), but the light at the end of the tunnel might finally be close.

“I thought maybe Trent [Brown] would be back this week against his former team, but now he hasn’t practiced all week so you’re looking more like next week.” The Athletic’s Vic Tafur said Friday on the State of the Nation podcast. “I had heard that he’s closer than you think he is to coming back so maybe next week he’s back in the lineup.”

Since the Friday podcast was recorded, the Raiders ruled out Brown for this week, but considering the team didn’t place him on injured reserve two weeks ago, the expectation all along has been that he would return by next week at the latest.

There were some discrepancies between player and team regarding the nature of Brown leg issues a few weeks ago, so it will be interesting to see if Brown and the Raiders have the same timetable for his return this time around.

Next week the Raiders host the currently 2-0 Buffalo Bills. Through two weeks the Bills have 5th-ranked defense in the league, so the presence of a healthy Trent Brown would definitely be welcomed by the Raiders.

  1. Suit up fat boy & earn your keep. Otherwise get healthy & we trade you for a future pic (s)???

  2. Hope Trent Brown will be able to play at pace where his injury won’t come back to hurt him. Let’s just focus on the New England game for now until Trent is available to play. LET’S GO LAS VEGAS RAIDERS stay focused in Sunday’s GAME. Edward Shelton. Hey RAIDERS

  3. Brown is so outta shape it won’t even matter. I’m pissed because he didn’t show up ready to play. He probably weighs well over 400 pounds🙄
