Jack Del Rio Remains A Favorite For Raiders HC Job

Speculation continues to grow that Jack Del Rio will be the Raiders next head coach – arguably the favorite as soon as Jim Harbaugh bolted for the NFL. In a segment with 95.7 The Game on Friday, CSN’s Scott Bair says he’s heard Del Rio’s named linked to Oakland “louder and louder with each passing week.” An interesting tidbit in the segment involved Tony Sparano’s interview – was his most recent meeting with team officials underwhelming?

There was also this tweet on Friday night from Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Of course Kelly also tweeted this out some time back, so do with both reports what you will.

Adding to the intrigue, ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio reported this morning that a league source told him Mark Davis “loves” Del Rio – another term to add to the list already occupied by “very impressed” and “wowed.” It is known that the Denver defensive coordinator also has real support from some of Davis’ trusted advisers, so the ‘love’ probably goes beyond the owner.
