Jermaine Eluemunor Takes Shot on X at Raiders’ “Old Regime”

Jermaine Eluemunor was one of a handful of players on the Raiders’ roster that played for Josh McDaniels in both New England and Las Vegas.

In theory, Eluemunor would have been familiar with McDaniels from their time together with the Patriots, and considering he signed a one-year deal with the Raiders last year (with the understanding that McDaniels was going to be the head coach), there has never been any reason to believe Eluemunor didn’t like playing for McDaniels.

From the outside, Eluemunor looked like one of the ‘Patriot Way’ guys, who was all-in on McDaniels in his 22 months with the team.

But that apparently wasn’t necessarily the case.

In a post on X this week, Eluemunor was critical of the “old regime” in Las Vegas for cutting John Simpson, who started all 17 regular season games for the Ravens this year.

Jermaine Eluemunor on Twitter: “Crazy the old regime cut a player who’s now the starting LG for the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship…who woulda thought🤔. So happy for my guy / Twitter”

Simpson started every game for the Raiders in 2021, but wasn’t considered a fit with McDaniels and ended up signing a one-year deal with the Ravens that worked out well for both sides.

If clarification was needed on what Eleumunor thinks of his former head coach, the “barf” emoji was enough to clear any confusion.
