UCould Lamar Jackson end up playing for the Raiders in 2026?
Last week, a report from NBC Sports host Mike Florio brought up the idea of Jackson potentially being traded to the Raiders, saying there has been talk around the league that the Raiders might try to make a move in the offseason for the two-time league MVP.
“There are some who believe, and this was in the Mike Preston column about the Ravens and Lamar Jackson, and I have a feeling that Mike Preston has heard the same kind of things I have heard. There’s a feeling out there that the Raiders are going to make a play for Lamar. That that’s the big splash,” Florio said on PFT Live.
“Offer the first pick in the draft for Lamar Jackson. Before that they’ve got to hire a coach, but Tom Brady feels compelled to do something… this year people are expecting him to do something big.”
Not long after Florio made his comments, a source within the Raiders reportedly called the news “absolutely absurd.” But it sounds like Jackson might be a little more open to the idea of going to the Raiders than the aforementioned anonymous source in Las Vegas.
On Thursday, Jackson re-tweeted a post of a fan (well, technically, the fan’s son) predicting Jackson would someday play for the Raiders.
Maybe Jackson just thought it was a cute picture, but it seems more likely that he was trying to stir up a conversation.
It’s usually a mistake to make too much of a cryptic social media post, but Jackson is smart enough to understand the firestorm he was creating by posting the tweet.
Aside from the trade implications, the bigger storyline right now is that there definitely seems to be a little trouble in paradise between Jackson and the Ravens.
Any other year, Raider fans would be dancing in the streets over the idea of a quarterback like Jackson coming to Las Vegas, but with the no. 1 pick and Fernando Mendoza on the board, it’s hard to imagine Tom Brady and company will spend a lot of time mulling a trade with Baltimore.

If the Raiders were crazy enough to make that move, I would really finally be done with them. With all of the draft bust and coaching changes I’ve endured with them over the last quarter century, that would truly be the last straw if they didn’t draft Fernando.
Totally agree. This would be the very last straw.
Me too! That would do it for me, finally. I’ve been following the team since 1972. We need new ownership, Davis has never had a clue!
Why do we want a QB who’s proven that he can’t win when it matters the most?
So trade a 3rd round and Geno Smith for Lamar then draft Fernando
Nah bro. We got to use that 3rd round pick to address the O line.
We used this year’s 3rd round pick to acquire Geno Smith. The Ravens’ backup QBs are better than Geno. I don’t want Lamar.
No thanks on Lamar!!!
Ric Flair for Las Vegas GM-styling, profiling, womanizing son-of-a-gun.
BIG MISTAKE!!!!
