The Raiders’ offensive line has been arguably the most ineffective position group on the team and week was 11 probably their worst effort of the season.
Former Raider great Lincoln Kennedy talked about the offensive line this week on his podcast and he couldn’t wrap his brain around some of the mental mistakes they made against the Cowboys.
“[They need] more detail to assignments… There have been busted mental errors throughout the season. Last game on Monday night, they seemed to be exaggerated to some degree. I don’t know if the guys went out there purposefully, saying, you know, ‘I’m going to block the wrong guy or I’m going to go the wrong way.’ But it d— sure seemed like it when I would review the film,” Kennedy said on the Locked on Raiders Squad Show podcast.
“There’s even some of the things that they were doing… that doesn’t even make sense. Why would you go there of all places?”
For anyone wondering what Kennedy was talking about, watch the video (below) and his light-hearted comments about players intentionally doing the wrong thing make more sense.
These are some of the worst offensive line reps imaginable.
This week on the Graph and Wasted Show, Yahoo and FOX Sports host Jason Fitz talked about the regression of the offensive line in 2025, and he pointed to offensive line coach Brennan Carroll, who happens to be Pete Carroll’s son.
“I always have to preface this. I never root for anybody to get fired,” Fitz said.
“This team had the time during the bye week to change special teams coordinators, but did not have the time during the bye week to re-examine the offensive line coaching?”
“Yes. I know that that’s Pete’s kid. We all know that. It’s a problem. At some point, when you build your culture on the concept of competition, and we’re going to compete at everything, then that means you have to hold everybody in the building to that same accountability.”
“Who’s holding accountability to any of these coaches for the schemes, for the concept, for the way it’s being run? Who’s holding Chip Kelly accountable? I don’t know,” Fitz continued.
“Do we genuinely believe that if Chip Kelly was the offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions today under Dan Campbell, that Dan Campbell wouldn’t have taken play calling duty away? I don’t. I think it’s been so bad that most coaches would have stepped in and said, I’m not going to let that happen. And I know that’s not Pete’s background. He’s not an offensive coach as a background. But still, accountability is accountability. I love that the players love him. The coaches [though] aren’t being held accountable enough.”
With the Browns traveling to Allegiant Stadium this week, the Raiders’ offensive line is going to face their most difficult challenge of the season.
Myles Garrett has 11 sacks in his last four games and is on pace to break the NFL’s single-season sack record.
If the Raiders don’t figure something out with their offensive line in a hurry, Garrett could be staring down at the sack record by Sunday evening.

There is NO Coaching on the Offensive Line… After all – there is No Coach!!! Daddy’s Baby Boy wears Coaching Shoes but that does NOT make him a O-Line Coach…
FIRE BRENNAN CARROLL!
Do the players actually still love Pete? I mean Devin White, Elandon Robert’s, Kyu Blu Kelly and Will Putnam, maybe, since they wouldn’t see snaps anywhere else. But you’d hope the rest of the roster would value winning over vibes. And if the vibes are good on a 2-9 team, what does that say about the players?
