Are the Raiders going to trade Jakobi Meyers?
An ESPN column last week put the odds of Meyers being traded at 35 percent, but former Raiders O-lineman Lincoln Kennedy thinks the odds should be a lot higher.
Asked on Friday if he thought the Raiders would make any trades ahead of the November 4 trade deadline, Kennedy pointed to Meyers and explained why he thinks a trade is going to happen.
“The big [trade] that comes to mind is Jakobi Meyers,” Kennedy said on the Locked on Raiders Squad Show podcast.
“For me, the sign was clear as day when I saw he scratched from the Kansas City game, when he was on the sideline of the Kansas City game. I know they were talking about his knee and stuff like that, but… he went out to warm up, and then they didn’t clear him, and they scratched him from there, put him on the inactive roster. So I think Jakobi Meyers is likely to go,” Kennedy continued.
“They’re not going to find a deal. They’re going to try to get out of that last year… on that contract. There are teams that are buying right now. Pittsburgh is known to be looking for receivers. There’s a possibility, I’ve heard rumors, there might be a fourth-round pick for that trade.”
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, there are three teams aggressively trying to trade for a wide receiver, and one of those teams is in the AFC West.
“The three teams that appear to be most aggressively pursuing a wide receiver before the trade deadline are the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos, according to sources,” Schefter reported on Sunday morning.
There are reasons to believe the Steelers are the team most interested in Meyers, but with nine days until the trade deadline, a lot can still happen.
What we do know, though, is that Meyers is still looking to be traded and he confirmed as much this week.
“[The Raiders] know how I feel,” Meyers told reporters on Tuesday. “It’s no reason for me to keep going back crying to them, ‘Can you get me out of here?’ If you move me, you move me. But in the meantime, I got some [teammates] that I care about next to me, so I’m trying to make sure I’m being my best self for them.”

Jacoby is a true professional. Wishing u the best at your next team. I’m sure it will be a relief to leave this dysfunctional organization.
