Raiders Insider Says Alec Ingold Has a Significant Role Coming In Jon Gruden’s Offense

If fullback Alec Ingold ends up being a part of the Raiders’ offense, you can’t say you were not warned.

The Athletic’s Vic Tafur talked about it last month and team insider Vinny Bonsignore was particularly enthusiastic this week about the increased role in the offense coming for Ingold.

“They threw the ball to [Ingold] a lot during training camp. I know, and have talked to him extensively about this, he’s in the best shape of his life,” Bonsignore said on his Las Vegas 920 In The Huddle radio show. “He really dedicated himself to getting leaner, but stronger. A little more explosiveness, ‘make you miss’ kind of an element and it looks like it has worked. If you watch him in practice, and there was a determination that I think is going to happen in the games to get him the ball throwing it.”

For what it’s worth, Ingold already proved in his rookie year that he can catch passes.
