If general manager Reggie McKenzie is working an angle to get Allen Robinson in a Raiders uniform, it’s happening quietly.
According to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, the top suitors for Robinson are expected to be the 49ers, Bears, and Browns.
The Ravens and Panthers are also believed to be in the mix, but La Canfora says “cap constraints” could complicate a deal with those teams.
The Panther have around $14 million in cap room and the Ravens have around $8 million.
After releasing Sean Smith, the Raiders are believed to have around $25 million in cap room.
If Robinson was in play for the Raiders, the team would effectively have around $33 million in cap room as Crabtree (and his nearly $8 cap hit) would no longer be part of the plan.
After losing out on Richard Sherman, the Raiders have greater needs than wide receiver, but Robinson was being linked to the Raiders as recently as last week.
Something to remember with McKenzie is that he likes to operate quietly. Much like Green Bay operated in the past, the Raiders seem to enjoy swooping in under the radar.
Maybe something to keep an eye on with Robinson.

With the MANY holes we have on defense and severe lack of funds, there doesn’t seem to be any way to be able to afford a big contract like Robinsons. Richardson is much more likely….
