Raiders Received Relatively Good News on Richie Incognito’s Achilles Injury

The Raiders received good news on at least one of their injured offensive linemen on Tuesday as it sounds like Richie Incognito dodged a significant injury to his Achilles on Monday night.

Incognito was limited in practice most of last week with tendonitis in his Achilles and according ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the issue was only aggravated on Monday night.

It’s my understanding OG Richie Incognito’s Achilles issue from #MNF is not serious, more an aggravation. With torn Achilles happening around league, that’s a welcome sign for Raiders.

Given that it’s a short week, there’s no guarantee Incognito will be able to play against New England on Sunday, but considering the major injuries around the league over the first two weeks, the Raiders can be glad Incognito’s injury wasn’t more serious – especially considering it involved his Achilles.

Incognito was the Raiders highest-graded offensive lineman by Pro Football Focus in 2019 and he is only behind Sam Young (who has played only 15 snaps) in this year’s PFF performance grading.

The next question along the Raiders offensive line… when is Trent Brown going to finally be healthy enough to play?

  1. When I saw trent brown on the sidelines the other night I couldn’t help but to be reminded of jamarcus Russell. He just had that same look wearing a big fat chain….just saying

  2. Incognito is a man! If he can go he will go! Brown, I don’t know all the facts in his case, but it does not look like he is very motivated to get back on the field for the Raiders! Raiders paid him so much to play right tackle and they certainly have NOT got their money’s worth!
