According to BleacherReport’s Jason Cole, the Raiders are having trouble luring top coaching candidates in part because of the structure of the front office. Cole specifically mentioned concerns over “college scouting, pro scouting, and how they (the Raiders) handle the day to day matters.”
Cole, who is no stranger to reporting the perceived organizational dysfunction in Oakland, also added that the team will eventually “get somebody who’s desperate enough to take this job.”
As of now, the Raiders haven’t given any indication on anything staff related. And the closer it gets to Sunday it may make sense to hold out another day or two and see what coaches are available after Sunday’s games – unless of course they’ve already settled on someone.
