Report: Former Raiders CB Damon Arnette Crashed Four Rental Cars in Approximately One Month

Not that the team needed any more off-field drama, but a lot has come out about former Raiders’ cornerback Damon Arnette in the last week.

We learned about a lawsuit stemming from a car accident that occurred about a year ago.

Not a huge deal.

We learned about a minor physical assault on a casino employee that included spitting on the casino employee.

Kind of a big deal.

And the shocking headline of the week involving Arnette was, of course, the threat against someone on social media while waving around weapons.

Very much a huge deal.

But in the wake of his release on Monday, another detail turned up that seems to emphasize that Arnette had a lot more going on than anyone on the outside knew about.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Arnette crashed FOUR rental cars in approximately one month during his rookie year. Obviously he wrecked one more car a year ago, and who knows how many he wrecked that we don’t know about.

Safe to say, the last week has been the most difficult week the Raiders as an organization has ever had to navigate… and that’s saying a lot.
