According to Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller, the Raiders are torn on what to do if Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper and USC defensive tackle Leonard Williams both fall to the fourth pick. Miller says Oakland coaches want to add Cooper, but team brass is leaning toward taking Leonard Williams.
If the report is accurate, it sounds like Williams is higher on Reggie McKenzie’s draft board, but the coaching staff is interested in adding the draft’s top wide receiver to an offense in need of another playmaker.
As we all know, the draft is too close to believe much of anything. The aforementioned Miller would be the first to acknowledge as much. Here’s Matt in 2013…
The Cardinals passed on Barkley three times before Philadelphia finally drafted him in the fourth round.
