According to ESPN’s Bill Williamson, Raiders linebacker Sio Moore is “still not all the way recovered” from what Reggie McKenzie described in February as “major surgery” on his hip. Although the Raiders removed Moore from the PUP list early in training camp (he missed only one practice), he has missed the past three practices.
The Raiders haven’t and likely won’t be offering any detailed updates on Moore, but it appears he may have suffered a setback. As of now, the third-year linebacker is listed as the backup WLB, behind former Super Bowl MVP, Malcolm Smith.
#Raiders Notes: Few showed up positively in my ’14 film notes with as much regularity as Sio Moore. Chance to be great run-chase guy.

Expect the coaching staff to be cautious with Moore as he’s under contract through 2016 (at a modest cost) and the defense finally appears to have some depth at the position.
