Two months ago, Deshaun Watson was dominating NFL headlines with demands to be traded from the Texans.
The Texans reportedly weren’t answering or returning calls from other teams about Watson, but that was all before an avalanche of civil lawsuits were filed against Watson over alleged sexual misconduct. As of Tuesday morning, 14 civil lawsuits have been filed against Watson, with more said to be coming.
Considering the serious nature and the sheer volume of the accusations against Watson, it would make sense that teams have cooled off in their pursuit of Watson. Nevertheless, it does appear that there are six teams still interested in discussing a trade for Watson: Philadelphia, Carolina, New York (A), Miami, San Francisco, and Denver.
The Raiders were never considered serious suitors for Watson and nothing about the last two weeks would have made them any more excited to bring him to Las Vegas.
A report last week indicated that Watson’s preferred destinations are San Francisco and Denver. So when there is eventually some clarity on how the legal processes around Watson will play out (and that could take a long time), it’s possible that his next team will be in the AFC West.

What about the Raiders being a 3rd team involved and including Marriota? Houston has to trade Watson now.
Houston already signed Tyrod Taylor as their Mariota.
