Reports Suggest Broncos Want to Trade Ahead of Raiders, Draft Jerry Jeudy

According to reports from NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah and the Colorado Springs Gazette’s Woody Paige, the Broncos would like to jump ahead of the Raiders and draft wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

The Raiders have been strongly linked to Jeudy in recent weeks and many believe the Alabama wideout compares favorably to Antonio Brown, who ironically has been training with Jeudy in recent weeks. Jeudy is the most polished receiver in the draft and is considered by many to be a perfect fit for Jon Gruden’s offense.

The Broncos own the 15th pick in the draft, but the cost would be fairly significant to jump in front of pick 12 – most likely in the ballpark of their own first-round pick as well as a second-round pick.

Of course, the Broncos also might be bluffing if they have information that the Raiders like Jeudy and want Gruden to trade up for the receiver he wants. A trade up from pick 12 would likely cost the Raiders (who don’t own a second-round pick) two of their third-round picks and possibly more.

If Jeudy is drafted ahead of the Raiders it will be interesting to see if they consider CeeDee Lamb and/or Henry Ruggs a worthy consolation prize at pick 12… or will the Raiders think about trading back and adding a second-round pick of their own?

Answers will be coming soon.

  1. As far as I am concerned the way AB and the raiders worked out I wouldn’t want anyone associated with the guy …Go with Cee Dee . Or trade down and see where Ruggs or Higgins fall … And hope the Broncos trade up …
