Tafur: I Think Raiders no. 12 Pick Will Be Either Jerry Jeudy or C.J. Henderson

It’s the burning question right now with the draft just hours away. If the Raiders use pick 12 (and don’t trade out), who will they take?

According to The Athletic’s Vic Tafur, it’s going to be either a wide receiver or a cornerback.

“I think it’s Jeudy or Henderson at 12, but we’ll see,” Tafur posted on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

Jon Gruden has been heavily linked to Jerry Jeudy in recent weeks, but a report on Wednesday said that Gruden’s top receiver is Henry Ruggs III. To complicate matters more, several reports have said Mike Mayock’s top wide receiver is CeeDee Lamb.

As for C.J. Henderson, everyone knows the Raiders desperately need a cornerback and most believe Henderson has the highest ceiling of any cornerback other than Jeff Okudah. But after a free agency period that saw the Raiders focus heavily on defense, is Gruden ready to watch his first pick in the draft go to the defense?

Which brings up another question.

Who is clicking SEND from the comfort of the quarantine war room… will it be Gruden or Mayock holding the mouse? Because that might be an important detail to know.
