The Raiders are now 2-5 on the season and the expectation is that they might sell off a few more players before the trade deadline.
The playoffs might be a pipe dream in Las Vegas, but there is still is a player that would make sense for the Raiders to go after ahead of the trade deadline.
If we’ve learned anything in the first seven games of the season, it’s that the Raiders don’t have a long-term solution at quarterback on the roster. With that being the case, GM Tom Telesco seems destined to take one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 draft, and it would be wise for the organization to cast a wide net at the position even before the draft.
From now until the April, the Raiders need to do everything possible to find their quarterback of the future.
One option they should consider, if the price is right, is last year’s first-overall pick.
The Carolina Panthers are eventually going to move away from Bryce Young, and many believe the cost will be a fourth or fifth-round pick.
Are there reasons to not be enthusiastic about Young?
Sure, but there were once reasons to not like Tom Brady, too.
198 players taken ahead of Brady in the 2000 draft, and while no one is comparing Young to Brady, there is still hope for Young’s career. There’s a reason he was taken with the first-overall pick.
From the Raiders standpoint, they need someone else to consider at quarterback for the rest of the season, and Young would at least give them someone to think about.
A fourth-round pick to roll the dice on Young for the remainder of the season seems like a reasonable price to pay… and might spare the organization the wasted time of evaluating quarterbacks that have no chance at being the long-time solution at the most important position on the field.

I hope, for Bryce Young’s sake, that the Raiders DON’T trade for him. That would only be the final nail in the coffin for his NFL career. He needs a stable organization with a talented OC to help him reach his potential. The Raiders have neither. Starting to think that we will never be a relevant team as long as Mark “Dummy” Davis is calling the shots. Davis has been a disaster fir Raider fans, including the stupid move to Las Vegas. NO HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE!

I’m a loyal raider fan, and I feel that politic is playing a big role in the game that creates mega millions, and it is a huge problem to have the fans and young players lose the grit, love of the games, because of money. Remember every game can be a players last season and the work they have put into being there on a team deserves something special to be proud of, but the upper echelons (ex-players) included are full of bullshit. These are still young people trying to live a life of hopeful optimism and dreams that they have never really achieved because they don’t have any idea of what they’re looking for. So let’s at least allow them to be hopeful and optimistic every time they go on the field of dreams. Go Raiders

The season isnt over. You still have to attract high priced veterans who want to come here. So a close playoff run helps. I would see what we can get for Fields over at Pittsburg. He still is young and has some good life to him. QB are hit and miss sometimes. I wouldnt grab a Young just because he was the top pick. (Jamarcus Russell). There are many other options. You need someone other than Gardner to mentor the young guy coming in.

After yesterday’s disastrous showing i don’t think that I would even put Minshew back on the pine. Maybe on the practice squad or just cut him. We should have won that game. How many times can you go to the Red Zone and only get 3 points. 5 times and 3 interceptions and a fumble. He’s in over his head. Pick up the phone and get someone in here please.

Would be a nice move considering how the Raiders won’t lose enough to get the number 1 pick. Young would like it in Vegas because our O-line is pretty good. If he ends up coming here and becomes our starter at QB and succeeds it could help us strengthen our roster at another position.

Don’t think the Raiders are interested in winning, they’re tanking this season to get a higher draft pick. I’m so disappointed in the leadership of this team after several seasons of mediocre play I’m hoping that bringing Brady in the mix changes the direction of this team! This is a fine move and all, however, the issue is at the top, it’s coaching. Bryce here without positive change will further bury the young fella, Joh Gruden first, and he could turn that arm into a super star, and bring the Raiders back to the forefront before jerkoff comish took him out at the knees. After listening to all of these comments, which shows me that there’s a true blue rate of fans still alive, what I feel that is necessary for us to do as Raiders issue let the world know that they need upper echelon coaches that know what they’re doing and don’t freeze when they see something different on the field and panic Antonio Pierce has panic every game where he can’t make a decision that can help the Raiders in a time of pearl I was behind him last year because he showed something. I don’t know what but he showed something more than a coat we had but now he’s showing me that he has nothing more to be a coach in the NFL player probably good defensive coordinator maybe but head coach no the GM sucks. The offensive coordinator sucks and they make the Raiders season look like a bad joke in the NFL.
