Tim Brown Has Bold Prediction For Amari Cooper’s First Season With Jon Gruden

Hall of Fame wide receiver Tim Brown made an appearance on NFL Network on Monday and had a bold prediction for Amari Cooper in his first season with Jon Gruden.

Brown also addressed the drops that have plagued Cooper over his short career and doesn’t believe they will be a problem much longer.

“One thing about dropping balls is it’s a mental thing. It’s not a physical thing. It’s not that he can’t catch. Obviously, he can catch,” Brown told NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano.

“Jon Gruden, he’ll get that fixed. This is a guy that knows all those tricks of the trade. He’s been with all the great receivers in the league so I don’t think this is going to be an issue at all.”

As for the bold projection, Brown believes Cooper, who Gruden has previously compared to Brown, will be one of the cornerstones of the Raiders offense.

“Amari is going to be put in an incredible position to catch 100 balls year one in this offense,” Brown said. “And I think it will get done.”
