TMZ: Gareon Conley Suing His 2017 Rape Accuser

Gareon Conley is moving to offense. Sort of.

After spending most of the 2017 offseason backpedaling to defend himself against rape allegations, Conley is now suing his accuser.

The lawsuit, according to TMZ, explains that Conley’s draft stock was hurt because of the allegations and that he lost endorsements – including a deal with Nike.

It was the last week of July in 2017 that the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office gave the following announcement following a review of evidence presented against Conley:

“After a thorough investigation by the Cleveland Police Department, the facts and circumstances surrounding the allegations of sexual assault against Gareon Conley were presented to a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury. The Grand Jury returned a No Bill on all possible charges.”

There is no question the accusations hit Conley hard in the bank account, but his path to collecting money from his accuser is sure to be no less complicated than her attempt on him a year ago.

That said, if the accuser’s accusations were nothing more than an attempt to squeeze money from Conley and/or damage his career, hopefully that is something that can be proven in court.

Conley reminds me a bit of Jon Jones, no matter what he does it just makes me like him less and less. I am sure the allegations have some truth. Then he goes on social media and calls out Reggie for saying he had a shin splint, that just isn’t cool. He said he was fine, then sits a whole year, and now he comes out firing with this stupid lawsuit. How does he prove that he would have been drafted earlier, or that he lost out of these contracts. All that aside, just man up and move on.He should focus on playing football, and if he is as good as he thinks he is, the endorsements will come. I have a feeling no matter how good he is, Gruden isn’t going to like him around the way he runs his mouth.
