With Raiders just days away from training camp, answers could soon be coming on Christian Wilkins and the foot injury that’s been one of the major talking points of the offseason.
Since it was initially reported in April that he had suffered a setback to his surgically repaired foot, there have been conflicting reports around the status of Wilkins’ foot.
It has been suggested that Wilkins could miss the 2025 season and other reports have offered a more optimistic outlook around the situation.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Vinny Bonsignore hinted that Wilkins may have undergone another procedure in the last few months, but most of what has been reported on Wilkins in recent months has fallen under the category of speculation.
On Sunday, though, a little encouraging news made rounds on the internet in the form of a social media post from wide receiver Alex Bachman.
Bachman posted a video on his Instagram story showing Wilkins without a walking boot and dancing around the team facility.
Last week, the Raiders placed Wilkins on the Physically Unable to Perform list, but based on Bachman’s video, the star defensive tackle is no longer in a protective boot and looked to be moving around without any obvious limitations.
Raiders’ training camp gets underway for veteran players on Tuesday, and another update on Wilkins’ foot should be coming soon.
