Raiders Reportedly Unlikely To Activate Gareon Conley On Sunday

Officially, Gareon Conley is listed as ‘questionable’ for Sunday’s game in Tennessee, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone who thinks it’s going to happen.

“I don’t expect Gareon to play,” Raiders broadcast voice Greg Papa said on Thursday. “I don’t think he’ll play at all. I don’t think he’ll be active for this game. I just don’t think he’s ready.”

Papa has been saying since last week that Conley simply isn’t moving around well enough yet to compete.

Overall, Conley’s recovery has gone slower than expected, but the team still anticipates a full recovery. The rookie cornerback has been wearing a wallet-sized piece of what appears to be a protective pad over his shin since his return to the field last week.

According to head coach Jack Del Rio, Conley’s status will be a game-time decision on Sunday.
