Adam Schefter Says The Raiders Could Be The Seahawks Best Trade Option For Russell Wilson (If They Were Interested)

Are the Raiders really a viable trade option for the Seahawks and Russell Wilson?

ESPN’s Adam Schefter talked about Wilson’s trade opportunities this week and he feels the team that could offer the Seahawks the most would be the Raiders.

But as others have said, Schefter has doubts as to whether the Raiders would want to sink significant draft capital into a trade for Russell.

“[The Raiders are] a team, I think, that makes some sense,” Schefter said on his podcast this week. “Now the issue there is that the Raiders like Derek Carr. They’re not really looking to move on from Derek Carr, but if you could get a guy like Russell Wilson that would be tremendous. But is it enough to make you want to give up your first-round pick, maybe a future one, and Derek Carr to get Russell Wilson? Are you willing to give up all that to get a new quarterback when you already like your current quarterback? I don’t know that you are.”

The real teams to watch on Wilson are probably the Bears and Dolphins. The Dolphins didn’t make Wilson’s trade list, but he could presumably be enticed to move to Miami. The Dolphins have plenty of draft capital to offer the Seahawks and it’s hard to buy into the idea that Miami is committed to Tua Tagovailoa.

The Bears are desperate and while they don’t currently have the draft capital to trade for Wilson, they could quickly get there by dealing a defensive player or two. In fact, that’s a deal the Raiders might be interesting in getting in on, too.

Roquan Smith would look good in a Raiders jersey… and we already know Khalil Mack does, too.

  1. Yet again, some keyboard genius making up stuff about the Raiders and Carr. Why???

  2. The raiders don’t really need another older quarterback I say keep Marcus Mariota and Derek Carr no matter how you do it because if their car goes down there goes the season and he’s prone to get hurt
