Vinatieri takes shots at the Raiders
At halftime of Sunday’s game in New England, Adam Vinatieri was presented with his Pro Football Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence, and in his speech to the fans, the Hall of Fame kicker took the opportunity to take a shot at the Raiders.
“Seeing those Raider jerseys takes me way back,” Vinatieri said to a roar at Gilette Stadium.
“[It] takes me back to that snowy night when we beat Oakland to win Super Bowl 36. Then years later, I was fortunate enough to be the all-time leading scorer. We did that in Oakland, as well. At the time I thought we owned the Raiders and you know what? Thanks to Tom, we actually do.”
Vinatieri’s comments were salt in some still open wounds among Raider fans, especially considering the Patriots dominated the Raiders on Sunday.
Not only do Raider fans hate hearing about the ‘Tuck Rule’ game, but there is also still a large contingent of fans who aren’t entirely comfortable with Tom Brady’s ownership role within the organization.
Brady gained some trust after one of the most encouraging offseasons in recent memory, but it’s worth keeping in mind that the only reason Fernando Mendoza made it to Las Vegas (and in turn, Klint Kubiak) was because the team was so bad in 2025.
And on a related note, Sunday was even worse knowing Josh McDaniels left the stadium feeling good, and Patriot fans were given even more fuel to run their mouths for the rest of the season…

it’s quite simple.
put up or shut up.
we can b**** about the world being against us, the NFL being against us, the refs being against us, the grass doesn’t bend the way we want it, the wind blew to the left when it should have blown to the right, whatever it is until we win on a regular basis nothing else matters.
It’s a team sport. one mistake gets compounded one person slightly out of position gets compounded and leads to injuries.
the world doesn’t care about you it only cares about winning. Figure it out!!!
