CBS has been put in an unenviable position this week by the NFL.
There are only two late-game AFC television options on the schedule and the Raiders/Browns are one of those options. The other choice for CBS is the Chiefs/Chargers, but Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is no guarantee to play in the game and if he does play, he will be playing through a significant ankle injury.
After last week’s embarrassing efforts from both the Raiders and the Browns, CBS made the decision this week to avoid their game at all costs.
If you want to watch the Raiders host the Browns on Sunday, you better have NFL Sunday Ticket or be willing to drive to one of two small markets on the United States map.
It might not be a big draw for the nation, but Sunday’s game will be pivotal for the Raiders and Browns. Both teams enter the game with a 1-2 record, and a loss will send one of their respective fan bases into even greater panic.
Sunday’s game in Las Vegas is widely a pick ’em in the betting markets as no one seems to have a handle on what either team is about right now.
With the exception of areas where they are contractually obligated, CBS has essentially made the decision to avoid them both.
x: @raidersbeat
CBS should play game it’s required to play there is always some game that ain’t worth watching according to someone, seems cbs is always hating on the raiders I myself will stop watching cbs if this bias continues
This is always the case with cbs and the raiders play the raiders game like your suppose too the raiders have a huge fan base it is almost a racism against the raiders cause you think some other game will be better and that game ends up like watch patriots and jets for an example boring game so give the raiders a break with the hate you show them
CBS is for old people. Why do they have NFL rights in the first place? Stick to Matlock and NCIS geezers.
Time to boycott CBS, live in Illinois and long time Raiders fan (1969). Hardest games to get in our area. It’s sad that they can just keep doing this to Raider Nation. Couldn’t get even the Chargers Raiders game.
Of course they won’t show raiders game. They don’t care about their fans.its all about the money. Not loyal fans!
Ha! I can’t blame them. Now the question for this San Diego resident is whether it’s worth crossing the border to a Caliente Casino to watch or find something more enriching to do with my Sunday… Go to the Natural History Museum? USS Midway? Balboa Park? Who am I kidding, I can’t quit this lousy franchise…
Today I’m watching a blow nfc game Viking and Green Bay why don’t you play afc game since you are an afc channel an quite thinking your some guru of predicting a great game which you are obliviously not what a waste of morning watching a nfc game someone needs to just play what you should play fox is NFC channel let them play NFC games seriously a joke your channel is becoming
No raiders on CBS this Sunday last time I watch CBS mad in Los Angeles!!
You know I have been a die hard Raiders fan from Ohio since 1967 , 11 years old an now live in the high desert in CA since 1979 an have had to put up with this coverage of the Raiders when they were in la now in Vages an still can’t see them over 190 miles away but I can watch chargers an rams less than 60 miles away .
