Deion Sanders has been saying it for months and he said it again this week…
He is prepared to step in and push Shedeur Sanders to an NFL team he thinks is a good fit.
There has been speculation the Raiders are at the top of Deion and Shedeur’s list, and that theory picked up steam in July when the elder Sanders said the Raiders were a team that had his approval.
“That would be nice,” Sanders said of the notion Shedeur could end up being playing for the Raiders.
“[The Raiders] have a wonderful head coach and a wonderful president,” Sanders continued. “That would be nice. I’ve been looking around the stadium. It’s a nice stadium. It’s nice around here.”
Sanders also added that he was a big fan of Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce.
“He’s a great man,” he said of Pierce. “He’s a great leader. He earned the job. They didn’t give him nothing. I love what he brings to the table. I don’t want him to lose to the point where he has the ability to get Shedeur. Let’s get that straight. I don’t want that to happen, but I wouldn’t mind some of kind of way it happens that he’s here.”
Pierce has not had success in his first season as head coach of the Raiders, but with Tom Brady now in the mix with the organization, there is another important figure in the building Sanders would presumably be excited about.
Sanders circled back to the conversation around his son again this week and he said the “Eli Manning plan” is still an option. He also talked about what he is looking for in Shedeur’s next team.
There are still teams he isn’t going to allow Shedeur to play for and some interpreted his comments as a nod to Tom Brady, who is now a minority owner of the Raiders.
A Barstool Sports article this week suggested Deion is “basically begging” the Raiders to draft Shedeur, and if that’s where he wants Shedeur to play, there’s a good chance he can make it happen.
The Raiders would have to be on board with the plan, but what better options do they have at this point?

They probably will pick Shedeur, their good at making bad decisions
Yes that would be a great change at QB. But more important is the offensive line. They are horrible. Without a solid offensive line it won’t matter who is the QB. So by free agency or the draft Raiders need to work on the offensive line.
Look, I think Saunders is looking to keep Antonio Pierce as head coach. I would tell Saunders that Antonio Pierce will not be back next year and see what he has to say.
