There are a lot of signs pointing to the Raiders and Shedeur Sanders being a perfect fit going into the draft. That might not be the opinion of the rest of the league, but there’s no question the Raiders and the Sanders family have been sending out a lot of love toward each other in the last year.
Deion Sanders has been making comments about his son being a Raider and it is believed that the Raiders will take Shedeur if they have the opportunity in the draft.
“If I had to pick today and not based on who would I pick, but just what I think if the Raiders keep the pick… I think it will be Shedeur Sanders,” Hondo said on the Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast last week. “It’s who I believe the Raiders will pick. Again, that’s not me saying I don’t want them, I do want them. You’re asking me what I feel. I would say [Shedeur].”
On Monday, ESPN Get Up host Dan Orlovsky added fuel to the Sanders conversation, saying Shedeur’s interest in becoming a Raider is the worst-kept secret in sports.
“That feels like the worst kept secret in sports right now, that is that Shedeur Sanders wants to go to the Raiders,” Orlovsky said.
“The Raiders should want Shedeur Sanders. I do not believe the Raiders matter until they get a quarterback,” Orlovsky continued. “You are in a division with Patrick [Mahomes], you’re now in a division with [Jim] Harbaugh, and Justin Herbert, you’re now in a division with Sean Payton and Bo Nix. You don’t have a quarterback, so you are more than likely going to have the first pick in the draft. You have to go get a quarterback…”
As of Tuesday, the Raiders have a 10.2 percent chance of landing the no. 1 pick in the draft, according to ESPN’s FPI Model, and that means they might have to do some jockeying if they want to draft one of consensus top two quarterbacks.
The New York Giants have the best odds of getting the no. 1 pick, according to the model, and their chances are significantly higher at 41.0 percent.
The Raiders actually have the fourth-best odds of getting the no. 1 pick behind the Giants, New England Patriots (21.3) and Carolina Panthers (10.5).
Fortunately for the Raiders, the tank is in full swing and that’s not necessarily good news for Aidan O’Connell. The second-year quarterback out of Purdue would be to wise to watch his back this week at practice…

NO just looking for a big payday… MD sold out to Vegas now to the los Sanders Raiders… very suspicious with MD selling of the team little by little… is he in financial trouble with the Boss of Bosses as they use the say back in the 50s and 60s… or avoiding some of the boys from taking him for a ride and being fitted with cement shoes… sounds very suspicious indeed… glad the Raiders Offense is showing signs of growth regardless of the loss something to build on… very suspicious indeed HA…
