What will the Raiders look like without Marshawn Lynch in the lineup on Sunday?
Raiders play-by-play voice Greg Papa hopes it means the offense will get back to what they’re best at.
“In a roundabout way [Lynch’s absence] is a good thing… they may just get back to who they truly are,” Papa said on his 95.7 The Game radio show on Thursday.
Papa has been saying for weeks that the addition of Lynch has pushed the Raiders offense away from what they do best.
For whatever reason, the Raiders stout offensive line isn’t among the best at creating running lanes and the addition of Lynch hasn’t made the difference many had hoped it would.
Nevertheless, Lynch (even at 31) brings an element in short yardage situations that few can duplicate.
The Raiders will miss ‘Beast Mode’ in Buffalo, but if his absence nudges the offense back to what worked so well in the second half against the Chiefs (and all of last season), maybe all will be well that ends well.

I disagree. I believe Todd Downing has been the problem with the offense this year. Zone blocking from this line? Horizontal dink and dunk passing game? It caught up with the raiders after week two. Defenses catch on fast. The play call that got DC hit and resulted in Marshawn getting suspensed was awful! If that call came from TD then this suspension is totally on him!!!!
