Hall Of Fame QB and Respected Analyst Say Raiders Offense Is Simplistic And Predictable

The Raiders offense has gone into hibernation over the last four weeks and a pair of respected NFL minds are pointing to scheme as part of the reason why.

Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner and highly-respected ESPN analyst (also a former player) Louis Riddick both believe the Raiders offense is too simplistic and predictable – and as Warner added, the offense is too reliant on players to make great plays.

For what it’s worth, this narrative isn’t particularly new.

It was NFL Network’s Charley Casserly who first pointed out the simplistic design of the Raiders offense several weeks ago when the Raider train still appeared to be on the tracks.

“This offense is not complicated,” Casserly said of the Raiders after the their week 3 loss in Washington. “It is not a very complicated offense on paper to defend. It gets complicated because they’ve got great players.”

As Peyton Manning showed for years, if a team has great players, it doesn’t take an ultra complex offense to win in the NFL.

Right now, the great players in Oakland aren’t winning individual matchups and the Raiders record is proof.
