The Raiders are a team gaining confidence and it was never more evident than on Sunday when Daniel Carlson took the field for the game-winning kick.
As Carlson ran onto the field, the HBO Hard Knocks’ cameras captured Jalen Richard waving goodbye to Colts’ fans.
No arms around teammates, no nervous huddles, no prayers on the sideline… just full confidence that Carlson was going to seal the game.
Carlson has been remarkable since joining the Raiders and he now has four game-winning field goals for them this year.
As some might remember, Carlson was released by the Vikings in 2018 and his departure from Minnesota was in no way graceful. Vikings’ head coach Mike Zimmer had a particularly snarky response to his team’s decision to give up on Carlson at the time.
Maybe the question we should ask now… did Zimmer see the game on Sunday?
Probably not.
He was too busy talking trash about his backup quarterback in Minnesota to be concerned with how his former players (like Carlson and Stefon Diggs) are doing elsewhere.

Zimmer is a Jackass that will probably be looking for a new job next week!

Agreed
Richard had been with us for a minute, he’s seen a lot of crap and dealt with lot of heartbreak; he’s excited to be where he’s at right now…I say, f*** it! Let him celebrate a little early! Carlson IS a beast! Let’s go, Raiders… The Chargers can’t beat us AND JM!! Let’s get ready to rumble!!
He was enjoying the best chance to win….l agree his been with us a while….
